Description

The passive infrared sensor mod. DORADO is an autonomous device capable of detecting the presence of infrared energy generated by the passage of a person in the area controlled by the sensor. The alarm, tamper and supervision states activate a transmission, the low battery status is automatically queued at the first useful transmission. The radio signal is encoded and transmitted in FM intended for control panels such as ARES, HELIOS or other compatible devices; power is supplied by an alkaline 9V battery, (not supplied), which guarantees an operating autonomy of about 1 year, the operating range is about 80 meters in the open field.

To identify the remote device, a digital code is transmitted at a European frequency envisaged for low power (LPD) applications for radio control and medical. The code is generated during the device installation phase, in fact a valid code is transmitted randomly chosen from a base of 4,294 x 109 combinations; & nbsp; a receiving anti-collision procedure is activated to increase system security.

The sensor incorporates the following functional sections: a sophisticated alarm generation circuit with coded radio transmissions, LED display, an integration circuit (selectable between two or four pulses in 5 seconds) to eliminate alarms & nbsp; due to sudden and point heating. In the mod. DORADO is inserted an inhibition timer, between one alarm and the next, of 5 minutes to safeguard the charge of the battery used in case of continuous movements in the protected area. In order to allow a more rapid test of the sensor's functionality, the pause time can be increased to about one minute by means of a jumper; the internal battery is simultaneously & nbsp; monitored & nbsp; to detect its state of charge and any anomaly, it is appended to the first useful transmission. A programmable timer is activated for & nbsp; the supervision transmission towards the receiving device, and finally the & nbsp; built-in signaling devices (excludable) allow you to check the & nbsp; & nbsp; operating status of the sensor. We recommend, in any case, to follow the main installation rules of infrared detectors as seen in the manual.
